Partners for People Experiencing Crisis and/or Homelessness

City of Refuge – a faith-based environment that assists individuals and families transition out of crisis, by helping provide stability and teaching new skills so that those in need may thrive in their local communities.

Gateway Center for someone experiencing homelessness connects people experiencing homelessness with the support necessary to become self-sufficient and find a permanent home.

Atlanta Mission  – a faith-based organization that invests in the spiritual, personal, and professional development of people, restoring and equipping them to intentional living. Services provided: Food and Shelter, Critical Needs, Addiction Recovery, Job Attainment, Counseling, Spiritual Recovery, Educational Services

Covenant House – serves young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness or human trafficking with absolute respect and unconditional love. Our ultimate goal is to help each young person move on with their lives in positive ways with counseling, education, stable employment, and secure housing.

BCM Georgia provides emergency assistance, supportive housing, and financial education programs that strengthen our community and empower our neighbors. offers financial assistance for rent, mortgage, and utilities to eligible applicants.

Hope Atlanta provides individualized assistance, resources, and advocacy for people experiencing (or at risk of experiencing) homelessness and hunger

Sheltering Grace – is a Maternity Home where women in crisis turn in order to get the services and education they need to get back on their feet and raise a happy, healthy infant. Each woman in the program is given access to a safe place to stay, food and care, transportation to medical facilities and education and job training.

Down-Payment Assistance

Down Payment Resource – there are 2,415 U.S. homebuyer assistance programs! As buying a home continues to be a challenge for many, these programs, for those who qualify, could be a game changer. This is a tool that may be used to help your clients and customers determine eligibility for these programs.

Refugee Resettlement 

The Welcome Co-op manages housing logistics for new refugee families and individuals by working with housing providers, vendors and volunteers to secure housing, collect needed household items and furnishings, and set up homes for newcomers.

Furniture Donation & Assistance

Furniture Bank of Metro Atlantaprovides free furniture and household good to individuals and families moving out of homelessness, living with HIV/AIDS, or fleeing domestic violence.

Financial Literacy for Students

RightPath – Aims to improve financial independence in the Metro Atlanta area by facilitating the delivery of volunteer-based financial literacy education programs to high school and college students from under-represented communities.

Veteran Support

Veterans Empowerment Organization – for veterans seeking housing assistance or facing homelessness.Works to empower veterans along their journey to self-sufficiency.

Local Neighborhood Specific Non-Profit & Advocacy

Grove Park Renewal – Seeks to provide a quality living experience for neighborhood residents and empower those who desire to connect with and contribute to the community and participate in the renewal process in Grove Park.

The Andrew P. Stewart Center – (for residents of Pittsburgh) seeking educational, wellness or housing help. Promotes strong communities through educational initiatives, wellness resources, and housing solutions.

Be Compelled – Atlanta-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower the next generation of leaders through mentorship and sports. Youth & Student-Focused.

Camp Horizon – A nonprofit organization that provides year-round, no-cost programs to children, teens, and young adults who have experienced abuse/neglect and/or who are in foster care.

Whitefoord – creates health equity by delivering patient-centered health services complemented by other programs, especially early education, that address the social determinants of health.

Grants and Homebuyer Financial Assistance

Greenline Housing Foundationprovides down payment grants, financial education, and home maintenance assistance to qualified people of color and gives money to qualified applicants for a down payment towards the purchase of a home.
