I'm having a hard time dating this house. The tax record says 1940 but the sleeping porch and the local rock foundation suggest an earlier construction date. There are several doors in the home that are pre-1900 (if not pre-Civil War) with original door knobs. I'll just say that I believe it to be much older than 1940.
