At Bolst, our story began with a shared desire to create more than just a real estate business. Justin Landis, Co-Founder of Bolst and owner of the Justin Landis Group, began selling homes in 2008, steadily growing his business. But he always felt like something was missing. "We knew we needed a bigger purpose," he shares.
As the real estate market rapidly evolved, the focus shifted beyond just results. Rich Richardson, Co-Founder of Bolst and owner of Team Rich Richardson, wanted to build lasting relationships with clients. "I want to be known for being ‘Rich in Relationships,’” he says, emphasizing the importance of integrity and generosity in every transaction.
In 2018, the Justin Landis Group launched a campaign called 90 in 90, aiming to help 90 buyers in 90 days and raise $90,000 to fight homelessness. "When we hit the 90th house on the 90th day, we knew we could do more," says Jarrod Thomas, Partner at the Justin Landis Group and Co-Founder of Bolst. This campaign sparked a realization that they needed a bigger platform to create lasting change.
For Erika Brown, Co-Founder of Bolst and owner of Strive Real Estate Group, real estate was a way to give back to the community and teach the importance of generational wealth. “I wanted to impact my community and educate others,” she says. "Then we found Justin Landis!"
Ashton Ernst Ballard, Partner at the Justin Landis Group and Co-Founder of Bolst, adds, "We needed a place to do business with a higher purpose, creating a culture that gives back to those who are underserved."
In the summer of 2021, Rich, Justin, Ashton, Jarrod, and Erika came together to create Bolst. "Purpose-driven business is good business," says Justin. "We believe there's an opportunity to do more—to provide housing for all while driving both good and profit."

We founded Bolst to break barriers in housing and build a better future: from supporting the non-profits who fight homelessness, to educating first-time home buyers, to helping experienced buyers and sellers win with integrity.
Justin is a graduate of Georgia Tech where he was a President’s Scholar and graduated Highest Honors with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He joined Keller Williams in May of 2008 after five years in the real estate industry. Thanks to his sales growth, he started The Justin Landis Group at the beginning of 2013. The Justin Landis Group was the #1 KW Team in Georgia in 2019 and 2020 with over 700 sales totaling $256M in real estate volume in 2020. Justin believes that everyone deserves a dream home and that the real estate industry can end chronic homelessness in Atlanta. In the last three years, The Justin Landis Group’s charity initiatives, 90 in 90, Good Key, and Home for the Holidays, have inspired generosity throughout the Atlanta real estate community. Those three campaigns have led to over $800K in donations to local Atlanta charities that are fighting homelessness. Justin is married to Amaris, his high school sweetheart, and has three daughters, Maggie, Ellie, and Annabelle. He is a resident of Grant Park and spends his free time cycling, running, traveling and hiking the next big mountain.
Rich Richardson has been managing real estate transactions for almost two decades. A native of South Carolina, Rich has called Atlanta home for almost 30 years and truly is known for being “rich in relationships.” He graduated from Clemson University’s School of Architecture and prior to his real estate career was an executive with Chick-fil-A and Intellinet Corp. Rich represents his clients with passion and has a “client for life” mentality. We often joke that his goal is not to sell you into a house, it is to talk you out of a mediocre house. He uses his experience and background in architecture to exceed client expectations. In a housing market that is changing more rapidly than ever, integrity and results matter, and Rich and his team have a proven track record of success. Rich is passionate about all things real estate, plus his new wine label, 3 Questions, and he is known for his generosity. He is married to his wife Emily, and they have three children, Reese, Eloise, and Beck. They attend Buckhead Church and love to spend time at Lake Rabun.
Erika Brown is a born and raised Texan that has fell in love with Atlanta! After purchasing her first home in the Historic West End in 2010 and falling in love with the city, Erika left her successful Bank management position to serve the community that she grew to love. Through her own personal experience being a homeowner and investor Erika has worked every aspect of the business representing sellers, buyers, investors, and financing. You can trust that with Erika’s knowledge of the area and market expertise, you will receive the best experience possible! Not only is Erika a successful Real Estate Agent, but she is also a mom of three handsome boys, a wife to her best friend, and in her spare time Erika loves to teach women and especially women of color how to build wealth through Real Estate.
Jarrod earned his real estate license as a sophomore in college and joined Keller Williams Realty with Team Rich Richardson as a summer intern while pursuing a degree in Management. After graduating from Georgia Tech in the fall of 2009, he joined the team full time and specifically worked alongside Justin Landis where he focused on first time home buyers, enhanced his knowledge of neighborhoods—both intown and throughout Metro Atlanta—and worked closely with investors. Over the next few years he gained valuable experience in every area of residential real estate including not only traditional sales, but in completing short sales with buyers and sellers, and helping home buyers & investors purchase REO and foreclosed property. Jarrod earned his Certified Distressed Property Expert designation in 2010, and has established himself as an expert in helping clients buy and list short sales. He spent 2013 living in Savannah working for the Top Overall Team in the Keller Williams Realty Savannah office – the Heather Murphy Group. All of these experiences have Jarrod well-prepared to help a wide variety of clients meet their real estate goals. Jarrod is an Atlanta area native and lives in Grant Park with his wife Cherise and their children, Jacob and Lucy.

Named one of Real Estate Agent Magazine’s “30 Under 30” and a “Top Luxury Listing Agent” by The Atlantan, Ashton has garnered a reputation for being the best in the business. As a Certified Negotiation Expert, Ashton cuts through the noise of real estate. Ashton strives to finesse the finer points of every deal with ease while selling each home for as much as possible, as quickly as possible, and as smooth as possible. Ashton has a true passion for service and client communication which has led to loyal client relationships long after closing. Utilizing every resource available, she works to provide a seamless transition from one dream home to the next. Originally from West Virginia, Ashton moved to Atlanta after attending Marshall University where she studied Business Management. When she is not closing deals, Ashton loves giving back to her community, traveling with her fiancé Brandon, and cheering on the Atlanta Falcons every chance she gets — Rise Up!
